With the Paris Climate Agreement, the world set itself the goal of limiting global warming to “well below 2 degrees” and striving to even reach 1.5 degrees. This goal is important and correct – and therefore it was basically a good idea by Fridays for Future to have a scientific investigation into how its contribution to the 1.5 degree goal can make. Contrary to what has been postulated in the media, the result is not a feasibility study, but an impossible wish list. However, it is not one reason to give up the 1.5 degree target.
